life review

A process of reminiscence common amongst the elderly, and described by Robert Butler (in Psychiatry, 1963) as one in which the ‘personal sense and meaning of a lIfe’ is unfolded, and ‘past experiences and unresolved conflicts’ are increasingly brought to consciousness.
